Issue #252
Downtown Stamford, Connecticut
Hello there!
A basic principle of energy is that it flows. On August 19, 2025, my office moved near downtown Stamford, Connecticut. I'm flowing on to new adventures!
My new location is in a beautiful, cherry tree-lined residential neighborhood, a block away from Stamford Hospital, a five-minute drive from the Metro North train station, and a 20 minute drive to the HPN/White Plains airport. I'm also delighted to be surrounded by restaurants and hotels. Even New York City is less than an hour away. I am incredibly fortunate to be so centrally located!
I admit that I cheated a little to acquire my new office location. I used energy techniques to guide, support, and create my desired social outcome.
Read on to learn more about how I used energy techniques to support the positive social changes I wanted. Have a wonderful week!
Stamford, Connecticut's Harbor Point Neighborhood
Announcing New Office Location!
Stamford, Connecticut, here I come!
Sometimes, instead of miraculous physical health, we want to create miraculous social health! This has been my challenge over the past few months as I searched for a good place to live in Connecticut.
Why Connecticut? To live closer to family. Why Stamford? It's a great city!
However, it's not easy to find an affordable place to live in Stamford because of the cost of housing and the competitive real estate market. When I discovered that purchasing real estate in Stamford is more like an auction than a market, I turned to energy techniques to increase my chances of getting a house in a timely way.
Initially, to do so, I had to be clear with my intentions. What do I want for a house? Where is my ideal location? What kind of moving company do I want to help with my move? What kind of help do I need for renovations to my house? What kind of furniture do I want to replace what I have sold?
Next, I connected my mind and energy to the idea of Infinite Life Energy and asked for what I would like to have. To give me a sense of confidence (or entitlement), I think of all the times I've helped other people without being compensated for my generosity. I imagine my karmic bank account ready to provide whatever I want now in ways that go beyond my human, limited understanding or means.
As opportunities come my way, I use energy testing to help me when I need greater discernment. Should I go with this or that real estate agent? I like this house, but would a better one come up within the next three months? What would be a good offer that would result in me being the winning offer?
With careful testing, I made a strong offer that resulted in my ability to buy a wonderful house in a friendly, safe, and charming neighborhood at a convenient location. I was the seller's first and last offer; they decided to stop selling their house after my offer was made.
Next, I faced the daunting challenge of finding the right people to do some renovations around the house before I move in, and to avoid those who would waste my time and money.
Again, I had to be clear about what my intentions were. It took a while. I had to scale back on my wish list of projects. I settled on finishing the attic, painting the house, and fixing the yard. Then, I asked Divine Source/Life Energy to help me find the right people who would do a great job for a reasonable cost. I also set a limit on what I wanted to spend.
Incredibly, less than two days after I closed on the house, I found all the people I needed to complete the renovations, and each of them had already come to the house to examine the work to be done and had given me a very reasonable estimate. After meeting them, I felt comfortable trusting them with the renovations.
Getting affordable furniture was another area where I felt guided. After spending many hours looking for sofas and sectionals and feeling resistant to paying the retail price, I asked for help to find good furniture for an affordable price. An idea came that I should consider estate sales in Stamford. I did and found two sofas that I bought from a designer who owned a store in Stamford: a Thayer-Coggin sofa and a Ray Booth for Hickory Chair "Knole" sofa for about 15% of their normal retail prices. They were new and had never been sold before. Lucky me.
So, you may be thinking, "Nah! You can't just ask for something and make it come to you like that!"
I don't think Life Energy shoves anything down anyone's throat, even if it is helpful advice. I think that this kind of support partly happens through the vehicle of thought. The information flows in a circle from me to Source (asking for something) and then from Source to me (answering with something). I ask for help. Source responds with help. But then, I have to listen and follow the guidance given.
For example, a thought comes to me that says, "I should go to Sherwyn-Williams and get some paint samples." So, I go to Sherwyn-Williams and get my samples. While there, a thought urges me to ask for a referral for a good painter. I do that, and it just so happens that the painter is nearby and can stop by in 30 minutes to take a look at the house.
While chatting with him, I think, "I should ask about a landscaper." The painter gives me a referral for his landscaper, who stops by just when I am at the house the next morning, talking with the contractor about renovating the attic. And, everyone is delightfully nice, professional, affordable, highly-rated, and available!
I think what makes me seem "lucky" by other people's standards is due to my ability to listen to guidance after I ask for help and to act on the guidance given.
It's useful in life to know how to connect to Life Energy for social support. First, know what you want and what your intentions are, 2) trust in your connection to Life Energy, 3) ask for what you need, 4) listen and follow your intuitive guidance, 5) judge whether you like the outcome of the guidance, and 6) choose those outcomes that feel right for you.
I hope you'll find this approach helpful! Have a wonderful week!
